A stereo modulation guitar effect has a 'second pedal' feature which is attached to the left side of the stereo modulation output, and this second pedal goes on your bassist's pedalboard, blending in with their signal. So the stereo right signal comes out of your cab, and stereo left (with big lo-cut) comes out of the bass rig, and gives a HUUUGE wide sound!!!!
The second pedal would be fairly simple, quite cheap.
What do you think?!!!
Vote in the poll!!!

I wouldn't use it in either of my bands just because of our setup but that seems like a cool idea for some people!!! Definitely interesting.

Yes - really I should make one and try it out in a real situation... I know an accommodating bassist...

Interesting! But why would the signal with the "big lo-cut" come out of the bass rig though?
What about swapped roles: I'm the bass player and I'll put the second pedal on the guitar player's board?
I guess I could also keep the fun to myself, if I use two rigs?
If guitar and bass use two rigs each, .....

I'm assuming the reasoning behind this is if you're having, for example, bass coming out mostly stage left and guitar mostly stage right. Mixing a lo-cut signal in on stage left would be more noticeable and interesting than mixing in the lows of the guitar.

Yes - I'm thinking a bass player doesn't want the lows messed with, plus all the fun stuff with flanging is more noticeable with higher frequencies.
Of course a bass player could do this too - with the guitar rig.
However putting lows through the guitar rig could damage it?

Yeah depending on how it's done that could be a little risky. Would probably be OK with compression, rolloff under 40 or 50Hz and possibly lowered levels.

Thanks. I think I get it now - still a great idea.

I love the idea of a stereo effect, but as a bass player would never let a guitar player try it with me.... cuz I've got my own effects running!
