Air-Space-Invader---so-far.jpg

Air Space Invader prototype. It's the 'peak' (auto wah) mode of the Air traffic Controller, with cut-off frequency also adjusted by Igor controller. Guitar + white noise hiss mix control, through a filter, hi/lo resonance, attack switch (slow/fast)...

Need to know more.
hi/lo resonance = similar to resonance full on and resonance full off on the Air Traffic Controller?
drive = distortion from the Air Traffic Controller?
cutoff freq on exp = LPF sweeps possible? does it disable the envelope or do they work in conjunction?

Yes, similar resonance to ATC - very high or not that much, switchable.
Attack button for fast/slow attack to the envelope - acts like tasty compression with chords
Mix knob, drive (ATC distortion) and volume - all minipots.
Igor raises the cut-off frequency and resonance.

Makes sheets of snarly distortion, with a white noise bloom
Igor takes it into squelchy filter (still works as auto-wah)
Makes 'moogy synth' jams (auto-wah like fonky 70's keyboard)
Electro percussion...

All with a noise gate!
All sockets on the end!
An air space invader flashes on the radar control panel...!!!

Thanks! PCBs and boxes soon to be ordered. I think it'll be 4-5 weeks before generally available.
I can't believe that all this white noise filtery goodness comes out of this little wedge of metal...
Will do a demo asap.

Ha! I do sometimes, but mainly it's all this RFX stuff.

I think a pedal's got to sound new and different.
And it's got to look good too... Got to be something you want to carry round with you. (So being cute and small helps!)

I think that second aspect puts some people off sometimes... They think equipment has to look 'serious' and 'proper'.
I say bollocks to that. It's got to sound 'serious' and 'proper' (whatever that is), but if you have a problem with cuteness, then go away.

If I had to make pedals that were lumpy and grey (sound or appearance) I would stop right now!

I think it's really important to have some people who absolutely hate what you do! You can't do it without them - and the massive hordes who love you. The worst thing is if everyone 'quite likes' it. Gotta piss some people off!

But not here - among my peeps!

Wicked idea! Must definitely sort that!

I been getting some other bassy ideas recently... Bass version of Dwarf? (extra lo-end, clean/fuzz 'mix' button, with new Igor weirdness). Stand by for poll.....
