This setting will give you a reasonable approximation of a secret seasons snowdrift. TAFM can't match the presence or dynamic response of the snowdrift, and is a little more congested sounding, but for such a high gain pedal it's uncannily close.

Input - max
Fuzz - min
CV- 10:30
Shape - max
FV - 10
Boost - on
Mids - boosted

Oh, I bet it sounds good like that too...but I need moar FUZZZZZZ. And I'm not sure who this "snowdrifter" dude is who keeps posting in ss/bs threads about how the TAFM is not as good as his Snowdrift, but it's getting annoying. I guess that was more of my point.

:idk: I've don't think I've said anything negative about the tafm. In one thread I agreed with some guy that the tafm can do a good fuzzy od type sound (surprised me as I wasnt expecting it to), and this seemed like the appropriate thread in which to post the setting so other users could find it. Saying the tafm can't match the dynamics of the snowdrift isn't putting the tafm down, it just has a different feel. It also has a shit ton more tones in it compared to the snowdrift. If there's any doubt remaining, I think the tafm is fucking ace and I'm really happy with it

Anyway, back to the settings, here's one for lead with a strat, a bit more fuzz this time.

Input: 2
Fuzz: 3
Shape: 2
FV: 11:30
CV:9:30
Boost: on
Mids: boosted

Is there any youtube video that show the shape knob in action (with a guitar)?
Is it doing filter sound similar to the Four Eyes Fuzz (fairfield circuitry)?

the shape pot is a passive filter so it won't react the same way the four eyes would, which is an active bandpass? (not sure) filter with feedback/resonance. it's has a slight mid scoop, though certainly less than a big muff and turning CCW reduces highs and gets very dark/muffled, which can be cool on guitar to have a cleanish thing going on with a cloudy background, especially if maybe you have a brighter OD running into the tafm? CW adds highs and (and upper mids to some degree) - it never really gets over-bright, just thicker and more cutting. the mids or shape switch adds those upper mids that are scooped out.
