Re: The official CHK CHK BOOM "sounds awesome with" thread
just got my ccb today. haven't played with it a lot, but so far it's making a great racket. i stuck a coupla pedals in the loop just to see how the thing works as i didn't have much time to tweak - a barge effects bb. jr and a digitech digidelay. found i could make a lot of different sounds just tweaking my guitar's volume and tone knobs while stepping on the ccb. pretty cool. and the toy and the cd were a nice touch. thanks a lot lawrence!

This is a nice, simple setup with an Utter Stutter, but I'm sure it would work with a CHK CHK BOOM as well.
-Tele, tone knob @ 1, volume @ 10, neck pickup
-U.S., feedback knob, um, wherever it was to get this sound. Maybe around 7
-Danelectro Chili Dog (Octave/2 Octave down), all knobs at max
-Danelectro Fish & Chips (7-band EQ), 110 Hz @ +15, 200 Hz @ +7, all others at zero
-Princeton Reverb Reissue
Really tame by U.S./C.C.B. standards, I know, but I'm digging the drum roll sound. The drum roll was really easily controllable, too. To stop, mute all strings. To keep it going, don't mute the strings, no new picked notes needed for a long while.
I plan on trying out my Flanger Hoax, Polychorus, Polyphase, Wiggler, and Memory Man Deluxe tomorrow. Will post more, surely.

I know that I'm selling my CCB right now, but it seriously is awesome with a noisy pedal and a modulation pedal in sequence. You get super crazy faux-synth sounds!
(Also, I will get another CCB back in the future when funds allow for it!)

Do you like listening to homemade music? Me too. Why don't you try one of mine?

i used a triangle big muff clone -> sho clone -> mxr phase 90 in the loop and got really cool swooping siren-like noises. add a tc electronics nova repeater in the mix and you get a really cool, usable alarm swell.
