The Amazing Beavis Board

Post by Gunner Recall »

...is amazing.

Mine came today and I just finished up a Bazz Fuzz.
Everything makes so much sense now. We'll see how I fair with more complex builds but it's really starting to click.

The best part of it all?

I was on the list for the new batch he just made and I backed out in the end cuz I didn't want to spend that kind of money. Now, I regret it... and not only because of the snacks.

How long did it take you to put together the Bazz Fuzz? Are you gonna mount it on a regular perfboard or get one of those Beavis-specific perfboards?

Yeah the Beavis Board is awesome. I made like 4 different circuits the first night I had it. And then the second day, I was already working on my own circuit.

It just gives you a shot of creativity.

Bazz fuzz didn't take long at all...uber simple

Next stop, Torn's Peaker! The hardest part is reading all the tiny little numbers...I need a magnifying glass or something.

I have been meaning to get one of these for months now. Soon enough, soon enough. Glad to see you enjoying yours! Did Dano ever add any new projects to the board?

I am getting ready to build a peaker as well. Thinking about getting the circuit from devi diy though.

I think this may be exactly what I need... My conscience has been weighing me down building all these clones, I've been wanting to design my own stuff for a while now... Thanks gunner, once I am back on my feet financially I'm gonna grab one of these...

Beavis audio has been a huge inspiration and help on my pedalbuildng for years now....

If you don't mind me asking, when did you place your order? I've been trying to get one for months now. It was about a month into inquiring before I got a reply stating that I was on the list for the next round, but that was about six weeks ago. I don't mind the wait, as I know those guys are swamped and have other gigs, I'd just like to know when to expect it.

When I had ordered mine (which I flaked out on), I waited two months or so, I think. I bet he just makes a crapload at a time and then sends them out, so it takes a while in between batches.

I ordered mine in September and got it in November, so yeah I'd say 2 months is about standard.

Hey Mr. Gunner, glad you are grooving on the beavis board. There's probably enough transistors there to build a triple or quad bazz fuss. I'd say, Go for it!

As to the questions regarding wait time, here's the story: All the beavis boards are built by my awesome brother in law Chris. He does this as a part time gig, the other bunch of his time is spent tending to his two awesome little daughters, playing old school video games, and creating Weird Al mixtapes on cassette.

Each beavis board is hand made, has lots of steps, and has a big-ass box of components that we source from something like 12 different places. So the logistics of getting it all right means that we can ship a few each week.

Over the next few weeks, this will be changing. We are stocked up on parts to catch up with the wait list sometime in May/June. Woot for that, etc.

At that point, we hope to have enough in continuous stock to offer the dreaded Buy it Now option.

In the meantime, if you have any questions about wait time, beavis stuff in general, or pictures of Stiffler's mom, feel free to give me a holler!

:hello: :hello:
