It's a very cool pedal. I had and sold it but if a cool ILF version materialised I might be tempted to grab that :)*

If somebody wants to grab those PCBs, assemble in a superfancy enclosure and make a limited ILF run, i'd grab one :snax:
(i'd be happy to do it myself but, despite having started a couple DIY projects, i never soldered anything decent and now i don't even have time to think about it)

One thing at a time ;) :snax:

Just ordered a PCB :)

Also: Ouch, postage charges from the USA are seriously expensive! Even the cheapest rate was over $13 to post a PCB? USPS are making a small fortune there!

I refunded you $8.

I have two options. I can let the computer do all the forms and buy all the postage. then it must go into a larger envelope to allow for the pre-formatted and pre-paid international shipping label. I call USPS to schedule a free pickup. I actually lose money at $13.56 because it does not charge the customer for the envelope only the postage. I pay about $0.30 if I buy bigger bulk flat mailers but right now I pay $1.50 each.

option 2. I do everything by typing it up, printing it, cutting it out, then driving to the post office 10 mins away to wait in line. this means I only pay like $4 or less. my smaller padded mailers are $0.05 if I remember correctly.

Oh wow, you didn't have to! Honestly I wouldn't have mentioned it if I had known the reason; I just assumed the Shopify company was adding extra charges on top and hiding it in the postage. If you PM me your email address I'll send you the $8 dollars back via paypal; the last thing I want is for you to lose money on this!

Edit: Oops just saw Fuzzonaut's post!

Is it too late to add to the order? If it doesn't change the postage cost, I'll look at your other PCBs and buy something else and send you the money via paypal if that's easier/better for you?

your package has not left yet so I can combine shipping. I will email you now with my paypal address. BTW I'm not losing money by refunding the $8. that was intentional. I decided to help you out by doing the forms by hand to save money. I might not always do this but today I felt like I can do it no problem. if I use the $13.50 option I pay for packaging materials for another $1. that wasn't really a problem. I was just saying that I don't make money on postage %90 of the time.

a few days maybe. I am in school right now. I have very little time to do anything. I made it this far. there were multiple parts orders to get things to this point. now I am working on a drill template that I will share for 125B enclosure. I am using 6n8 kemet mmk series box film cap where the schematic shows 7n5. it was that or 10nF but I wanted to try 6n8 before 10nF. even though I have old stock J201, I ordered new J201 from mouser to rule out any fakes. the germanium diode is purchased from various sources but they are all tested and verified. I did not have 2N5089 but I did have 2N5088 in stock. I can always build it again if I don't like it. 1uF is ceramic TDK I think? the board is not setup to handle 1uF film caps. 50K bourns trimmers not in stock so I used tayda trimmers. I didn't want to wait any longer. chong cap because I ran out of kemet or panasonic 10uF. I have all the pots here. I was going to build the deluxe but I am probably not because I don't have the metal bar to protect the toggle switches. I want the pedal to last a long time. these metal bars are from RAF but the minimum order is 50 pieces. they are $5 each? not spending $250 on a bag of metal bars.

here is an example

Are those dimensionally different than a bog standard stainless bar drawer handle you can buy at a hardware/home improvement store?

I suppose they are available from online resources as well: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32947573605.html, but being able to lay hands on them before purchase is fun (and I like that aisle anyway).
I've got to get off my ass and bring to reality that what has been quoted through existence.
