Super rad! I have yet to try and tackle one of those.

Thanks man. The musicpcb board is a breeze, and the opamp and vactrols are easy to come by. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Yeah man that was my first try at a square/rectangular hole in an enclosure. I used about 5 holes and then a 28 tooth blade on my coping saw to get it close, and then used a triangular chainsaw file to get it flat. It's not perfect, but you really have to look close to see any small imperfections

Well I am trying to "perfect" an opamp Big Muff...

Well I finished it, and it's fantastic. Definitely needed a boost to really crush amps. I put a boost after the muff volume with a toggle for 2 resistors on a toggle so the max volume has 2 different settings. Loud and Loud AF..
These really do sustain for days. Days.

Well my super opamp muff is almost done. It's your basic opamp muff, but the 6x1N914 diode clipping section is replaced by a 6 position rotary with various options there, a Pharaoh type tonestack, though I'm going to tweak the values a bit to match the opamp sound, and then the two volume level mode toggle.

Built a custom Violet Rams Head muff with a mid toggle, and clipping toggle. It turned out pretty good, I hope the guy I built It for loves it as much as I do. I had a hard time sending it away.
I also just got Arcadiator and Darkadiator boards from Fredrik. So hopefully I'll be building one or both of those this weekend.
I'll update with pics

You some some fancy Trombetta-style knobs on there.
It sounds good, huh?
Fri Apr 06, 2018 7:52 pm
Yeah I love those knobs. I put them on a lot of stuff, they come in a chicken head shape too!
Yeah it sounds amazing. I used MPSA18's for Q1 and Q4, and 2N4401's for Q2 and Q3.. it has blue Led clipping on a toggle with the stock 1N4148, the blue LEDs are loud AF, and I put them next to the stomp toggle there on either side so you can watch them clip.
I'll be building another pretty soon. I built 4 muffs in a row so I need a break to do something else.. my Parasit boards or maybe the twin peaks..

Watson decided to help find the pots for my next build that I haven't had a chance to put away yet ..
