DIY Instrument cable: Best Quality/Price

I want to make a few instrument cables - 15' long. Is the cable from Mammoth decent/comparable to Mogami Gold stuff?

I got some Mammoth stuff for pedal boards for patches. It's made okay, not horrible to work, lower capacitance than the Mogami stuff I know about, and it was cheap enough with a sale code. The George L's stuff is supposed to solder fine and is very fairly priced by the foot, but they don't sell soldered plugs so shipping on two orders adds up. Belden has low capacitance stuff (I forget the model) that specs like George L's and is cheap but only available on bulk reels, like 500 feet, and you don't need that much.

BTW, the pancake plugs at Mammoth are pretty decent. Affordable and dual solder tab, which makes life easier. But I've had some of them go bad from non-excessive heat when soldering. And not every pedal plays well with pancakes.

I'm not talking about making patch cables. I have some Lava solderless patch cables. I bought them when there was a Lava discount. I was just planning on doing straight plugs, soldered.

I've always found it's better to buy instrument cables outright than to make them because they tend to cost more and you can get live time warranties on that shit when you buy it (run on sentence?). That being said, Bitches loves my switches sells the jacks (right angle at least) or you can go through a higher quality like these http://www.switchcraft.com/Category.aspx?Parent=926. I believe you can find them for under 5 a piece. Cable you could go any route you wanted. So many options.
