Here's the other old school thing, as I got 2 of those phenolic PCBs: Barnes and Mullins (B&M) Champion Fuzz Unit.
Again, I went with a standard enclosure, having 9V and a pilot light, while keeping the school vibe to the PCB.
Sounds glorious on bass, there seems to be some clean coming through, which I ike, and on top of that the tone knob can boost some serious low end.
