its a soul preacher before an opamp big muff. kinda off topic but I have some really high gain black glass OC140 I was saving to make some super awesome muff with. I have a stack of BMP pcb's still.

Made By Mike makes something similar I believe, with individual switches.

Dreambox MXR Dist 2 and an IC Muff, although I reckon he could probably do a deluxe muff in place of that probably, his prices are pretty reasonable also.

my husband really wants this pedal so i plan on building it for him.

this might just be my first attempt at a vero build :)

actually, i'm the lucky one ;)

If you're after a veroboard layout for the MXR Distortion II I can hook you up, just drop me a PM.

My Dist2 version cuts out a lot of the external electronics for the electronic switching in favour of true bypass switching, and also re-engineers the circuit for use on a standard 9V DC Supply.

this might be a noob question, but what way should the electro caps be oriented?

look at the DC offset on both sides of the cap and put the negative stripe of the cap to the lowest DC offset. usually your electrolytic caps touch ground so it is easy to just put the stripe to ground 0v.

EDIT: it is marked in his layout. little black mark on the electrolytic caps is the stripe on the cap.
