parts:
smd tip on soldering iron
UV300
hammond 1590BB
250KA - Rise
250KC - Rate
50KB - Depth
1 switched tip mono jack, I used neutrik pcb mount
1 mono jack, I used switchcraft enclosed.
power jack
1 3PDT (without LED use DPDT)
rate mod - 1 DPDT (without LED use SPDT or SPST)
rate mod - 370nF or 390nF cap, I used a box poly
first squeeze the hinge pins to gain access to the battery compartment. there is a screw in there. remove the screws that hold the pcb. remove the pcb. remove the battery clip.

you must cut the PCB to get it to fit sideways in a 1590BB. I used wiss tin snips. be careful not to hit any of the smd components. test fit it in the 1590BB before you cut. then you must sand down some of the solder mask so you can jumper the two copper traces with a little bead of solder. use a magnifying glass. a dot of glue will make it less likely to pop off when you stick it in the enclosure. then a piece of tape to keep it from touching.

cut all the parts off using the proper tools. dont desolder parts from the board. its unnecessary and you may damage something. the hardest part is cutting off the pots. I had to remove C2 47uf just to get the tools in there. after I removed the pots, I installed a new 47uf in C2. watch the polarity, its marked on the board. be carefull not to dig into the board when cutting. some of the copper traces are very thin. a slip here could make a cut trace. you need to put the mode selector in unlatch mode so the pedal will always be on when the power is connected. if you didn't solder the jumper to the traces correctly in the previous step, the pedal will never turn on and the LED wont light.

the mod is to add a 390nf to C15 in parallel. works good on a switch. one end of the cap goes to C15, the other end of the 390nF goes to the switch, and the switch goes to C15.

I used double sided tape on the underside of the PCB to keep it in place and prevent shorts. just put it all together. I did not connect the sleeve of the jacks to the Vneg. its not connected in the stock unit. just connect audio G on the pcb to the sleeve of the audio jacks and the audio G on the 3PDT. the switch jack on the pcb goes directly to the switched connected of the input jack.
