Through The Looking Glass has been kicking my ass since I picked up the reissue, too shout Eivind.

Really been digging the revival of 80s Japanese Environmental music, Hiroshi Yoshimura and Takashi Kokubo and folks like that. There's a Youtube channel called should be asleep that's got loads of it, if anyone's interested.

Shameless self promotion now that I actually have them:

ILFUMINATI member worra and I got a modular aficionado from Texas to release a split we did on tape so we're officially international ambient/drone/minimalist superstars now. Look for our clothing label in Fall2020.
For folks about to see what happens in the EU elections:

For freedomlanders who want a tape or want to buy from a local label for local people.
https://auralcanyonmusic.bandcamp.com/a ... cimedusina
good deals are here.
escapecraft is here.

Four-ish times a year, I convene a large ensemble electroacoustic/ambient/drone live improvisation project. There's a short memo sort of explaining the desired headspace, but not too much otherwise for musical constraints. Here's a field recording of our last gathering, with fifteen musicians joining in:

Cosmic Homeostasis X
solo (mostly ambient): https://heraclitusakimbo.bandcamp.com/
duo (electroacoustic vibration exploration): https://wenderlypark.bandcamp.com/
trio (tapes/voice/clarinet/synth/poems): https://ourwaytofall.bandcamp.com/
band (spontaneous kosmische): https://stargoon.bandcamp.com/

I also help co-ordinate Okta, ILF's collaborative community ambient project: https://okta.bandcamp.com

Here's a record I was involved in that was released recently. Seems to be falling under the ambient banner.

Piano, violin, field recordings, organs, radio static and a whole load of Ciat Lonbarde textures.

I keep a special folder set aside for cool drone-y/ambient/etc. sounds, and every once in awhile when I've got a bunch I make a drone playlist:

Drone Brunch #10
solo (mostly ambient): https://heraclitusakimbo.bandcamp.com/
duo (electroacoustic vibration exploration): https://wenderlypark.bandcamp.com/
trio (tapes/voice/clarinet/synth/poems): https://ourwaytofall.bandcamp.com/
band (spontaneous kosmische): https://stargoon.bandcamp.com/

This is really lovely... bits of it remind me of the Hamilton Yarns, and the rest just feels like a really intimate gig in someone's house that I'm kicking myself for missing :)

Fun bit of play-around-with-the-source-loops here: Deconstructing Brian Eno's Music for Airports.

You can play around with building loops on the page or download the stems to tinker with in your DAW.

Here's a quick long version of Side 2 of MfA I threw together: https://hearthis.at/mechanical-forest-sound/mfa-side-2-loops-first-long-mix/, just a bunch of cutting + pasting and some stereo pans, nothing very fancy, but nice background sounds.
