I started my guitar & self-sampling live improvisation project called Le Principe d'Inconstance about 9 months ago, in the year to come I'm heading for a few new projects (a band & the addition of spoken words on my improvs) so I felt the need to release the music recorded so far as some sort of souvenir of that first era of this project.
Here are extracts of the bio to explain a bit what this project is about:
All tracks are 100% improvised and played live.
The guitar + FX pedals are the only sound sources (apart from some voice samples) and the computer is used as a live looping device exclusively.
The outcome is tracks that are cinematic and have an hypnotic quality to them. The same track can range from etheral to oppressive and be made of very melodic lines or very rhythmic based parts that turn into a free form soundscape or and industrial-like wall of noise.

The releases consist of:
* 10 short versions of improvisations compiled in one album I called "The end of the beginning"

Each track is between 10 to 16 minutes long. 2 of them were not available for listen before... oh wait ! Maybe there's one more hidden somewhere..
You can download this FOR FREE here: http://leprincipedinconstance.bandcamp.com/
* A 1 hour and 35 minutes mix of several tracks. Some of them are in the album release, some other are not.
I consider this music to be more of some sound wallpapers so I though a long mix would be a nice way to experience it
It's here: http://soundcloud.com/koyl/le-principe-dinconstance-the-end-of-the-beginning-mix
* the last release will consist of all the full length improvisations. It's not ready yet and I'm not even sure that it will appeal somebody to hear 20 to 30 minutes long tracks.. ;D If you do, tell me, I'll upload them asap.
Well.. I hope, at least some of you will enjoy that.
I'd be glad to hear what you think of the new tracks and the mix.
