New Meshuggah is coming

And yes, it will make all other users of polyrhythms, 8 strong guitars and what not completely irrelevant. Again.
Fucking yeah!

Yeah, I seriously don't know why anyone else tries. The market is cornered people. They do it best.

Although there are lots of cool bands using polyrhythms...but usually in a *very* different context.

Sorry (not sorry).

Listening to 'I' right now. Still feel like it's my favorite record of theirs.

Hopefully I have enough time to absorb it before I see them in October.

Yea I'm pretty excited but still pissed I missed the god damn fucking box set. :(

Also, what's up with the box set not having the new album in it? That's just dumb.

yeah looking forward to this, though I really didn't connect with Koloss at all. I'll give it another go soon. Definitely in the Catch 33, I, Nothing remastered fanboy group. Obzen had some great moments, but their records seem to be more and more nasty in high-mid / high frequencies, along with less of a slow grind and back to more of a thrashy style and i just find them exhausting to listen to, whereas the aforementioned 3 favourites are exhilirating.
Got tickets to see in London in January, will be my first time (after many intentions to see previous tours), it's gonna be awesome!

Also this^^ I worked as a studio tech in a college for 16-18 year olds for a few months last year and the amount of kids that loved Djent but didn't know Meshuggah was astounding :picard: I had to educate them all. I ended up holding a seminar on 'Rational Gaze' original vs. remaster as well, we tried to get them to clap out the polyrhythm but didn't get very far
The pop kids were squirming out of their skin having Meshuggah blasted at them :thumb:

So what were they into? What's that band that sounds like a more watered-down Animals as Leaders, but with vocals? I think their name is one word...

Kind of astonished that they'd miss Meshuggah, but y'know...kids.
