Reading The Peanuts Papers, essays about Charlie Brown and the ol' gang, so natch in the TV section Vince Guaraldi comes up, and then backtracks to "Cast Your Fate to the Wind", which I didn't really know, though apparently this was the song that got him hired for the Peanuts gig.

Though I *know* he's the dude who wrote all those liner notes, etc., whenever I actually see Ralph Gleason (like in that Bola Sete vid) there's a moment of cognitive dissonance when I'm surprised he's not Jackie Gleason.

Edit: speaking of cognitive dissonance, it's mildly weird to realize that Jerry Granelli is playing drums in that video, given that a bunch of my peeps have done his improvisation workshop in Halfax.
