SSD are one of the bands I blame for all the skinhead racists I had to deal with at shows in the 90s and the 16 year olds who think it's still cool to pretend to be one in 2015.

Misfits are another one of those bands that I missed at the point where I might like 'em.

I don't hate these bands (used to, will admit) or anything just like, didn't get into them at a point where it might appeal to me, at this point in my life I hear them and go 'oh, that's cool, I guess...what else is on?'

Having grown up in New England, I cannot see the word "hardcore" without internally pronouncing it as "hahdcoah," and instantly thinking of Slapshot, Tree, and Sam Black Church (who YES I KNOW ARE REALLY TECHNICALLY CROSSOVER, BUT WHATEVER).
