I know like 2 or 3 other peeps here are into this band.

New song. Shitty live video. Cryptic antics. YOU KNOW WHAT THIS MEANS!

I'll try to find the video.

I wish I had one of those lyric books coming my way. The first pressing look so sweet.

I don't give a shit what anyone says, The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me is one of my all-time favorite albums. Just one of those albums I never get tired of and can listen to over and over again until the end of time.

I love brand new. Not something I listen to often anymore but I still love it. Same as a bunch of bands, like Thursday and At The Drive In.

I saw them live last year (never listened to them much beforehand, which seems to be a trend for me with concerts) and my favorite part was Jesse droning a chord with most likely all of his drive pedals going (which include a few ss/bs boxes). Nerds next to me were like "boo what is he doing, play music" and I am just like yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

They are really Brand New-ing it up. Definitely looking forward to whatever comes out.
I, also, saw them last year and they were great. The kid standing beside me passed out right when Sowing Season hit.

This band is more ILF than most ILFers realize.

They ended their set with like 10 minutes of glorious droning and noise when I saw them last time.

my enthusiasm is that contagious, huh? I thought that clip was pretty ok, actually.

I was going to say that I saw them live and they were heaps better than I was expecting, but it turns out that was actually Story of the Year and/or Thrice. I feel like all of those bands are sort of grouped together, yes?

Except story of the year is balls.

Thrice progressed pretty well but then they broke up and the lead guy went on to be the music minister at that creepy mars hill church.

They all sort of came from the same scene but I feel like Brand New evolved pretty much parallel to my music taste. Trying new sounds and stuff. I have mad respect for them.

Suffice it to say that the only band mentioned in this thread that I actively listen to is At the Drive In and a massive part of that has to do with the overwrought 'breaking up is hard to do' lyrical content that the rest of them rely on.

Totally valid. lyrics can suck the enjoyment out of music for me. Annoying.

Although Brand New has ventured out from the relationship subject matter on their last two albums.

When I saw them with CEG, the Titanic theme played before they went onstage.
Every girl in the crowd sang it in unison.
