BADBADNOTGOOD/Ghostface - Sour Soul

Postby LOCOPELAND » Tue Jan 13, 2015 9:40 pm

Anyone else hyped for this? I just heard about BBNG and they are solid as fuck. Having Ghost on ever track is gonna be rad. I really dig the song with Ghostface and MF Doom.

God I love BBNG, III was in my top 5 albums for the year EASY. And ghostface is ghostface. I can't see how this could be bad.

Interesting. Sounds a bit different from BBNG's usual jazzy hip hop. More...straightforward? But you can definitely hear the BBNG vibe seeping through, especially through the drums. I dig it ether way. Reminds me of Blakroc.

Hope they do more hip hop infused stuff. I liked what they did for FlyLo. Makes me wanna shimmy my ass out to LA.

I think it was ok. The vibe was really cool, reminded me of the Blakroc project The Black Keys did years ago. But I think Ghost's lyrics were kinda wack. He also never changes his intensity much. ts always constant RWAR sort of delivery, which I don't think fits the instrumentation much on anything except for maybe Raygun.

I just kinda wish this was just a BBNG album.

I think Ghost's lyrics are typical Ghostface, which I'm into, so this album did not disappoint.
