thing is, the modules are so small, programming capacity wise, that they don't have enough room to do everything a BC should do.

at least that's my understanding of the limitations of their og BC. i ended up gifting mines on to a guitarist bud that wanted a weird noise box.

I was thinking of picking up the module in the meantime to use with my microsynth and then eventually put it in the superego fx loop

Thanks guys! I'm fine-tuning the DSP code for a standalone bitcrusher, but no firm release date yet. The ToneCore bitcrusher is definitely a weird noise box, and I want to keep that weirdness whilst removing some of the issues people had. Some of those issues are due to the dock's audio path, and some are because we designed it for maximum sustain. The long sustain works well for guitar/noise/feedback stuff, but sputters too much on staccato notes (especially bass). Later versions (after April 2011) work much better with bass, thanks to some great feedback.
