From Mylar Melodies FB. Apparently there will be a sequencer edition of the Minibrute 2 with no keyboard.

Here's a pic of the whole ordeal. What does it take to join the likes of lookmumnocomputer and bobeats?

Sell your soul and either look dead inside (like bobeats) or replace the hole it'll make with drugs (like lookmum). :idk:

Tom Hall did some of the presets for the Arturia Buchla app. He's a good follow on Instagram, if you like synth porn.

Here's a comparison breakdown.

Oria by Enhancia is coming to KickStarter in March.

Thanks to nine integrated sensors and real-time gesture recognition algorithm, a motion library especially designed to complement keyboards was developed.

The ring comes with a hub which could be connected to a computer or directly to a keyboard. The signal recorded by the sensors is sent to the hub through a proprietary wireless protocol optimized for low latency. The overall system is a patented technology.

With the announcement of Fender's 12 new Original Series models, it's so weird to see the Gibson-Fender rivalry right now. It's a bit like looking at a college business class project. One team went with classic, market-proven designs (safe & steady) and one company went with bastardized versions of their hits, in order to modernize them (ill-advised unnecessary risks). Except this isn't a simulated experience, and Gibson is hemorrhaging millions of dollars.

The biggest advantage Gibson had over Fender was a higher build quality, yet they've become so sloppy in every aspect. Such as when they published new promo pics and the stock model actually had visible body damage. That's just inexcusable. Gibson has no leadership and no direction. Couple that with terrible artist relations and questionable QC, it's like watching a failing experiment, more than a juggernaut corporation, that should have elite people in marketing and management.

I think that Fiesta Red tele with the custom binding looks baller af. Psyched to play one of those.

Overall it sorta seems like they're just expanding the AVRI range with all of these? In terms of overall quality and sound, I've thought the AVRIs as of late have been the best offerings by Fender. To me, they play as well as the CS guitars without the huge price tag or corny feel that "this is trying to be something it's not," as in no matter how convincingly distressed a guitar is, it's not really vintage. I think some relic-ing is fine, but the inherent phoniness of the CS strat I owned was why I ultimately sold it.

Anyway, I like the looks of these new models... whether or not they'll sell is TBD, but I bet they'll feel good.

Okay what's going on in the video? I mean, I don't actually care about his e-cig clarinet, but what's the sampler? Or maybe a better question, is it as easy to do live sampling as he makes it look? Or is that just to play the background track?

It's a Roland SP-404 SX, and the Roland SP series are extremely easy to use, though I never graduated past a 202 myself

Anyway, it looks like a few pads are running through the whole bit, and he triggers an ambient pad halfway through.

well dang. Watching videos now and the 202 looks awesome. I'll definitely have my eyes out for a good deal on one.

Pro Co is releasing a diode-clipping cable called the Rat Tail. (why do I feel deja vu? was this an April Fool's joke last year?)
