Did a quick comparison of the SSBS Mini and EAE Dagger because a few people asked me about it. Two very different drives but I love them both

Awesome! I’ll check that out in a little. I’m not even in the market but I am curious about that comparison.

Thanks both of you! :) I think the first riff in the Watcher video is one of my favorites I've written recently

Just put up a demo of the Mattoverse Fuzzy Gates. This thing has two interacting LFOs that drive the tremolo and it gets really wild

Yeah the parabola sounds awesome. Great demo! I had been a couple months without gas for a pedal and now

Oh, wow, that's pretty sounding.
But, I don't know, I feel like I'd prefer it as part of an amp rather than as a standalone pedal, honestly.

I felt the same way! I don't own this one, and the second I heard it I knew I needed to get one in the next batch.

I think what I like the most about it is it sounds like an amp trem circuit, so I get that. I also think it sounds best at the end of the chain, because delay and reverb sound beautiful going into it.

Most of the time I agree with the end of chain, but I also really like tremolo before a reverb and dirt. I kind of hate this method because it means having multiples of everything, but I really like the options. Works great for adding variety in layers in ambient stuff and for when I just want to be in LA Witch, which is almost all the time.

Awesome demos. Best sounding Mini demo I heard so far. Still not convinced though. "Immensy versatile, goes from low gain overdrive to fuzz, wide range of tones from the eq, etc"...And I still only hear a variety of crunchy drive tones, not that different from what the average dod distortion could give me :idk:

Doesn't do high gain, no octave nor gate nor velcro as far as the fuzz part goes...To each their own, but for the money I'd prefer a modded rat and spend the rest in beer :idk:

The Dagger and Generation loss though, as well as 99% of those other demo'd pedlols...
Keep up the good work.

Well, it's a jfet overdrive, not a fuzz face.
The "fuzz" sound is just from biasing one of the jfets.
It sounds great for what it is, but if you're looking for fuzzy tones, maybe buy one of his fuzzes instead? :poke:
