Yeah, there's more to that story. Right when I got the cash for it one of our ILF brethren listed a Koma filter & Sonic Crayon Anti-Nautilus as a package deal for $900.
I nearly pulled the trigger on it but then seized upon the UA for a touch more, from a highly motivated seller. It even has the proper UTC input transformer & attenuator. (there was a dark period for about 1000 units when they switched to a Cinemag tranny & changed the circuitry...losing a bit of the sonic signature & much mojo)
Yes I think about *the one that got away* but I'd never find the kind of practical use for the A-N that a real deal UA 1176 can do in *make
everything sound better* Plus it helps to see people regularly getting ~1500 for them, should I need to part with it.
Passing up an Anti-Nautilus for a big boy compressor/limiter is probably the least ILF-like purchase I've made...but completely worth it
