I somehow find Ric basses and Thunderbirds in this category but like... They're so weird, clunky and ugly that I absolutely adore the look of both :idk:

There's nothing elegant about them but they're just weirdly gorgeous in an ugly way

just say "No" to Comic Sans. That goes for you too, Xotic Effects.

Also, a buddy of mine who owned a Parker says that it played and sounded amazing, but i can't get into the look.

I think they were trying for a classic look. You know, something like this:

Oh god that Echodrive is heinous. Reminds me of Xotic, another huge stinker. As someone who teaches typography, I'm consistently boggled by the human desire to use Comic Sans. Yes, I can tell them not to, but I'd like to know what compels them to use it in the first place, because it seems to be everyone. Anyway, Xotic Boosters: hideous.

Those Thorpy FX monstrosities deserve some attention as well. Beyond the bad looks, "Muffroom Cloud" sounds like a speech impediment.

Also I kinda love Parker Flys a little...
