Help me buy my next pedal plzxsss

Postby fcknoise » Sat May 09, 2015 10:27 am

I am attacked by GAS from all directions, and I fear it clouds my sanity. Given what I already have, what would you get? I'm thinking bitquest cuz it fills a lot of modulation voids. I also know I need more fuzz, but I got a DBA Fuzz War incoming. The cyber psychic was just sold, which gives me some money to spend on gear. I don't really dig the Pulsar, so I think that'll go soon.

Me? I’d…

1. Flip the Fuzz War. Take a small amount of the resulting sheckles and get something as a place holder - hawk? used devi? whichever donner/mooer etc apes the mammoth? a BST home-brew? french toast? Hoard remaining funds under damp mattress until new version/batch of the Industrialectric Incinerator is released.

2. Ditch the Pulsar. KYEO for Gristleizer clone or kit.

3. Ditch the Wampler. Has to be more interesting things out there - to me - for le$$. Fuck it, replace it with a fab tone.

4. Ditch the Barber. Replace with Blues Driver (or preferably Mooer etc clone), Soul Foodz, or Fryette SAS. Maybe Infant STEP in BST.

5. Buy cheap 2x oct down pedal. To bring evils.

6. Rplace Cyber Psychic with Gears or ARF.

7. Send me Echo Plus as thank you for sage advice.

8. Bitquest.

1. Clear out the bottom row except Metal Zone.

2. Fill up with several oscillating fuzzes or one insanely huge custom Fuzzhugger.

3. ???

4. :!!!: :!!!: :!!!: :!!!:

Do you want another trem in for the Pulsar? What about it isn't working for you? ILF basic answer there is probably EQD Hummingbird or some other Repeat Percussion clone or a Dr. Scientist Tremoloescence. More exotic would be the new EHX super deluxe thingy (don't know if it would fail you for the same reasons as the Pulsar), Chase bliss trem, Zvex Sonar, or maybe the Minifooger trem seems to be still a bit under the radar with maybe some unique tricks. I mean, yes, Gristelizer is really cool, but it's kind of a particular thing.

Ha, I just thought replacing anything with a fab tone was kind of funny.

Pitchfactor.
You could stay in Harpeggiator for entire weeks and never get bored.

Thank y'all for advice. I'll probably flip the fuzz war, never gotten along with muffs, and pulsar is on it's way out as well. Cyber psychic sold. I may or may not be receiving a hummingbird clone from a friend. The pulsar is so hard to dial in. One millimeter difference changes the rate by so fucking much, and I'm clumsy and stuff so I often fuck it up. I keep thinking I'll sell the Wampler for other fuzzes, but I got it for 80€ and it does so much, I think it'll be stayin

Oh, thanks vidret imma definitely be hollering at you soon bro!

Also, got a crazy tip tonight and got 190€ In cash. So consider my budget expanded. Sometimes tending a bar pays off

We could throw random pedal names at you for 29 pages long, but we all know you need moar fuzz :animal:

Modulation and noise makers are fun and all, but the Fuzz War would be the only real gnarly fuzz on your board, right?
