Any advice on how to drop effects in and out of the loop?

There's basically two options - one from the t1m guy, the other from a crew called Loopi Pedals.

T1M has a deservedly bad rep, something I've sadly experienced first hand. I can't vouch for Loopi but I've never heard anything said against them, their prices are better than T1m, they ship worldwide, they seem to have stock on hand rather than under-estimated build times, and it's all but impossible for their build quality or support to be worse than t1m...

Love? No. That's probably illegal here. But the original black and white comic was fo shiggidy, everything after that I wouldn't use to line your cage.

Loopipedals are good people. Fast to ship, keeps you updated and are fast to reply to emails. Shipping was a bit pricey to Norway, but I'm used to that by now.

I use the loop with a phaser for cheesyness and a delay with modulation for space wobble. I can make it sound very much like a glitchy Vox Continental or Farfisa.
The loop is good for organ-ish drones and Eno-ambience. I use it for an extra layer of floaty stuff on top of my floaty stuff.

Madbean Stage Fright. It's a clone of the Maestro Stage Phaser. Switchable 5 / 6 -stage phaser. One of the videos has a Carlin 8-stage phaser in it but I forgot which one.

Another sort of unrelated question is whether anybody makes a mixer-type pedal that slowly cross-fades
between two audio inputs? Such a thing would be useful in this context, or with looper/delays that don't
have a open loop/close loop type of capability.

A boss LS-2 should also work.

You can use an LS-2 if you put the pedals in series after the Superego and set the Superego to 100% wet. Although using that method the pedals in the LS-2's loop will be mixed with your original signal when the Superego is off unless you change the settings on the LS-2.

There's probably other options though, the LS-2 as pretty versatile.
