Hey friends, here is a comparison of the Mahoney Cal Tone and Buzz Tone. These are replicas of the original Jordan effects that plugged directly into your instrument, I'm plugging them into a meatball in bypass mode. As far as I understand, the cal tone is the original boss tone circuit and the buzz tone is a later circuit.

Sounds nice. Do you have a bag of dicks (the pedal, not an actual bag of dicks)? Supposedly based on the bosstone as well. They also have another version called Organ Donor which is a quote "crazier" version of the above mentioned dickbag.

No bag of dicks but that company looks very interesting. I really like the cal tone for its raw tone, and the buzz tone for its sustain. They both also have great textures. I just scored a vintage Boss Tone for cheap so I'm pretty excited, I expect it to sound more like the cal tone. I can't get enough of those raw vintage fuzz tones, and I'm really into these plug in effects.

Those demos were awesome. Great sounds. Those plug in effects were a silly design though. Kind of limited what guitars you plugged them in to. Sound good though :thumb:

Thanks  I wish I had something better thn my iPad to record my demos cause there are a lot of nuances that get glossed over. I think I like the plug in effects for the novelty, but you can always plug them directly into your amp...gives another options on effect placement in the chain. Took me awhile to figure that out
