skullservant wrote:Nice! That rules, great job. Looks tiny in the first few pictures, but then you realize it's freaking huge. With tons of looping!

Awesome!

The inner dimensions are 28.5 x 19.5. Including the M9 there are 4 loopers and routing for up to 6 amps/outputs - and there's room on the right side of the keymaster for adding in a mixer/synth/second board/etc...

hollowhero wrote:Awesome stuff. I scored some old tweed suitcases from my grandpa, and I've been meaning to build a suitcase amp with them. Just haven't found the time yet

This suitcase was big enough that I considered an amp but... I'm not nearly that motivated for that.

Great work, good idea to attach the raisers with velcro - might adapt that to mine :thumb:

Tell us about the hinges/latches. I guess the original hinges were taken apart and replaced with some kind of latches? Is the current arrangement secure enough to carry it by the suitcase handle?

We have 2 more suitcases we picked up - not as fancy but we're gonna make them into mini boards for fun (and sell them for a laugh). ;)

I popped the rivets out of the back original latches so the cover could come off 100%. I put a set of flat hook latches, like on a guitar case, on there to hold it in.

Here are some final photos. The biggest problem was the weight of the board, being in the lid, was making the whole case buckle when lifted form the original handle, attached to the case part. So I got a nice handle and we screwed it into the board/suitcase so when you lift, you're lifting the board itself, not a chipboard case. MUCH BETTER!

Here she is:

And in the included leather case:

And the rest...

how do you think the shell of the suitcase would hold up in a tour van? thinking about making one of these but i've had those old suitcase before and sometimes they're a little weak.

Very nice job on that! Been wanting to do something like this for ever. I actually have 2 old suitcases that would/have worked well for pedal storage in the past...maybe this will be the motivation I need.

Throw them up here when you're done with them, I'm sure one of us would love to get one (I know I would).
