Re: Dear Manufacturers, Regarding Pedal Feet...

I don't get it.
Rip the feet off if you don't want them! What's the problem? I can't stand the pedal skidding around with no feet - I know some people (me) who would take ages to get round to sticking them on, even longer to sort out the velcro.

Course those wah feet with screws in them are something else....

it's just that the feet are a bitch to get off sometimes. if the glue has settled enough i have to use a butter knife or pliers to take them off and i've slipped and scratched up stuff.

INDUSTRIAL STRENGTH VELCRO FOR LIFE. LOVE IT.

back art is cool as butts, but i feel bad if i have to cover it. i try to get ACHTANEY with it and go around the design, but sometimes it doesna work. durn it.

The feet work nicely to seat it in that shag so the etching is never covered with velcro on my LaoWiz stuff. :thumb:

You're not alone.
Velcro suck.

heh, make that 3 of us :!!!:
i even have different sized rubber feet, i use extra tall ones for things like fairfield circuitry that have a rubber pad underneath

Here's the way I see it. Not everyone is going to want them and they obviously come on a sheet when the builder gets them. So why not, I dunno, just throw 4 in the box and make it an option? That way, me as a consumer, doesn't have to spend five minutes tearing the stupid things off because I NEVER use them.

You're argument is the same as mine. Don't put them on! :)

I stopped putting on pedal feet very early on. I'd be happy to do it by request, but I've never gotten any requests to.
I feel like most pedal guys take em right off, they leave sticky stuff, and they can damage hand-painted pedals...

I buy feet

Waste of time LoaWiz?

NAh,... do that shit son. That's part of your style and part of what gives your effects character. If people appreciate that, they'll find a way to respectfully apply velcro (maybe you can help them out by leaving some negative space for small bits of velcro placement).
