coinage. of words. :joy: we're all on this weird trip together, and yet it's freaking hard to fully grok what this is doing to the other riders. now's the time to plug in to the power of music that all this gear is s'posed to lubricate. thrusters: on

behndy, you still have a Muxlicer? does ya/did ya lurve it?

JUST RELAXING INTO THIS BUTT PLUG OF A YEAR AND HOPING IT AT LEAST VIBRATES.

i.... don't. did. it was... okay? i didn't like the interface enough to spend all the time with it, but it seemed a LOT more fun to use in that DivKid vidja than i ever had with it.

great and wooly Jehobah. i mean, we have savings, grocery stores will still be open, it's going to hurt but the wife and i will be okay. but fuuuuuuuuck i am not looking forward to zero income for almost a month.

on the one hand, i'm a little stressed about money, so wish i hadn't just bought a bunch of loot. and paid off the Pulsy a month ago, so at least my BIG TICKET purchase wasn't recent. i was in talks to meet up with someone to grab a Sirin off them today, so glad i put it off a few days.

onnnnn the otherrrrr hannnnnd.... i have three weeks of time with the wifey, and to learn everything about the Pyramid, Pulsar, Cycles and hopefully the Korg XD (it's to be delivered to my shop, i'm on hold to see if i can reroute it, or if they'll even be delivering), which is... kind of amazing and beautiful.

i'm terrified and excited? Terricited? Exterrified?

Man, I feel terrible for you and for all small business owners right now. This is a scary and difficult time for everyone. I hope it all works out for you and anyone else on here that's being impacted

thanks homie.

lol. it's funny, because my wife and i have very different outlooks for stuff like this. she expects (and plans) for the worst, i expect (and hope) for the best. so i'm looking at this as it suuuuuucks, it's fucking rough to have zero income for the next three weeks, but the week or three after i can open again should be craaaaazy busy, letting us catch up and pay back our savings. she thinks we need to plan for them maybe extending this lockdown longer.

.... her way is smarter.

so i'm going through and listing anything of value i have that's not in my eurorack case or on my desk, digging out all the stuff that's been in storage since i was in bands that i never could make myself do all the work to list, trying to sell that locally.

but she's a musician too, she gets it. when i said i could sell my Dingwall since i only play with it every couple months she said WE ARE NOT DOING THAT.

she's good people. i am BESOTTED.

lol. we keep whispering, "there's nooooo one i'd rather be quarantined with then youuuuuuu." to each other.

CHEESBALL GOODNESS.

monetarily is very scary, creatively it's.... kinda the best thing? i knew setting up a Pyramid Controlled Hardware Synth Section would be a bit complex, lol. most of all because i have the shallowest understanding of Pyramid AND of MIDI chaining devices.

i thought it would take a solid 2 to 3 hour night to get everything ret to go, i spent about 6 hours yesterday and i'm hopefully half done.

WOOT.

Attempted delivery on my chronoblob today... And now I think I have symptoms and probably can't leave the flat to get it for 7 days.

Just when I want new modules the most

jebus homie. can you get tested? yeah, if in doubt, go SUPER cautious. fuck. hope it's something else!

unrelated and inconsequential because FUCK OFF I CARE SO MUCH ABOUT Y'ALLS HEALTH OVER GEAR.

but... anybody use the Black Box with MIDI? i'm trying to use MIDI Out A on the Pyramid to go from Cycles to Black Box to Pulsar. Pulses only has MIDI In, so it has to be the end of the chain. but i can get it to work from Pyr -> Cycles -> Pulsar, can get it to work Py -> Cycles -> Black Box, but doesn't seem to be passing through on to Pulsy.

...... crap. just realized the jack says OUT not OUT/THROUGH. might not pass through data. i can move it to the Merge box i was trying not to set up, not a huge deal i guess.

I don't think I'm seriously ill it's just the rules to self isolate if you have any symptoms, which I think I do. Which means not getting tested because I'd have to go to the doctor and maybe infect people  not worried about my health, just boredom and a bit of guilt that I could have been carrying this to work for days without knowing

ugh. not to get political, but FUCK this administration. i thought we were going to make it through all 4 years with horror and awfulness, but at a fixable level. the way they have bungled this focusing on preserving anything that makes that shuffling orange TURD viable for reelection instead of what would protect people infuriates me.

they've put us on the path that Italy is on.

hoping that it's something else, or if you go through it you're fine Big Pimpins.

I decided to order a Mangrove to explore during a two week hiatus from work (thankfully still getting paid for my scheduled hours). Figured that as much as I use Just Friends in sound mode Mangrove should be a perfect fit. Should actually let me use JF as a modulator more, even if it is only for complex FM.
