Essentially, for as long as I've owned the Freeze I wished that it was holding a bass note instead of the regular pitch. I suggested to EHX to make the FOG which would basically be a Freeze with a microPog in an fx loop. The Super ego is halfway there. Now, as the microPog is $140 more than the Octave Multiplexer, and the fact that I just prefer the bass sound of the OM, I will take the Super Ego and put the OM in the loop, so when I "freeze" it gives me bass, giving me an effect similar to a Moog Taurus. This is especially necessary for me because I'm in a two piece playing bass and/or guitar and singing.
Another plus: when you dedicate a pedal to an fx loop, you can't use it outside of that function. But after watching the effectology, he gets a great cello-esque sound out of a POG2 in the loop.
