Elektron Model:Samples is showing up for $299 at a couple places, $100 off of normal price.

I would also emphasize that it has no capability to record samples, just to play back stock and user-loaded samples. It’s kind of like a full-sized version of the Volca Sample. That doesn’t work off batteries.

I’ve understood that a typical buyer flips for the Digitakt for fuller functions. So maybe this helps cheaper flips down the line.

As someone who loves the Volca sample and hates batteries and just flipped it for a digitakt I entirely understand the use of the model samples. I like the capability to record samples on the digitakt but if you don't use that much I can see how it would work for some people.

Then it's an overpriced sample player. :whateva:

I tested it last year for a while and flow was lovely (compared to the Octatrack), also I loved that it was not as limited as the Volca Sample, but for $400? nein.
