Should I buy Jimmy Chamberlain's Yamaha G50II even though I don't really have the money for it?

There's a G100-112 for like $160 on craigslist in NYC that I am so tempted to get, but I've never heard one of them in person.

I've got the fifty 112 and it sounds nice but the distortion is an acquired taste ... nice grill cloth

Agreed -- I can get a decent light od out of it with the parametric eq, but mostly play the clean channel.

My reverb hums though. I should get that fixed.

Reconnect the pan, clean off the contacts .

Failing that, replace pan.

$20-30 tops.

My pedalboard costs approximately 191 Metal Zones.

I had to get the reverb fixed but I get an occasional drop out that's remedied by a very light kick to the side ...
