what are some decent monitors for mixing and recording?

i have no idea what to look for, so looking for advice
So this turned into another devi thread...

Ones with flat response, no colouring. I also use a budget stereo on lineout for comparison to powered monitors. Buy the best you can afford and you won't have to buy again.
