What does that mean?

Also, we have the same ride cymbal, it's pretty awesome for jazz and lighter rock, but I need something for DOOM, and such.

I used to have a zildjian earth ride.....king shit of all doom ride cymbals but it was, in the end, not what I needed. Another good doom cymbal to look for is the Sabian Leopard Ride. Both super heavy cutting beasts.

I use it for instructional dvd's and cd's and music to play along with. I've got the tv connected to a 5 disk dvd changer. It is a handy tool in this context!

My two rides are both Sabian. Seems to me that of the big 4 (Zildjian, Sabian, Paiste, Meinl) that you get the most bang for the buck used with Sabian.....and they make some killer cymbals! I love my Sabian Memphis ride.......kind of Sabians answer to the Zildjian Sweet Ride.....Nice ride but also has a great crash for a 21" cymbal. Really versatile. Has a great bell. Got it for $140 shipped, used. I will never buy a new cymbal ever!

My buddy just bought these brand new and set them up in my basement. He has all the moeny in the world but lives in a condo. I'm a broke ass mofucka but have a big empty basement. So I won the broke ass mediocre musician lottery. Anyways, Gretsch Purewood series in Wenge. Absolutely gorgeous looking drums

My 80s Yamaha kit. After owning it for 10+ years, I recently passed it on to my 14 year old cousin (more like my brother) because he has been asking his parents for a kit for a while.

I will miss it, but, it's in very capable and willing hands.

dude, i love the fuck out of your set up i almost want to cry i love it so much. simple kits are my favorites because you aren't so worried about all these different things you just know to hit things. this is from a guitarist who bashes at drums occasionally

This is my late '60s Rogers kit....it's been my main gigging kit for the last bunch of years. 20", 12", 15" (I have a thing for 15" toms)
I use a RIMS tom mount instead of the OG for better resonance and so I don't stress the kick shell.

This is my "loud rock" kit. It hasn't gotten much gig love lately. It's a late '90s DW. The full kit is 22", 10", 12", 15".
In the photo, the engineer was micing it up for a session with Gift Of Gab.

I use Bosphorous, Istanbul, Paiste, and K.Zildjian cymbals. (Not all at the same time)
I've had SO MANY snares (vintage, boutique, cheap, expensive) come and go.....the ones that have made the cut every time are three Pearl snares and one Ludwig. Nothing special, but they do the job better than anything else I've used. My Pearl free-floating brass has travelled around the world with me, and engineers love it.

I've got the tv and a metronome piped into headphones. Lately I've been cranking the 'nome and pounding the skins while watching "The Mighty Boosh" on dvd. :picard:

My drummer's mix and match, self painted drum set. Cymbals are Pastie Alpha crash and hi-hat, and Pastie 302 ride.
