Yeah....

I'll admit it... at this point 75% of my board is to turn a bassguitar into a synth and I'm happy about it.

I blame it all on John Davis. I downloaded both of the Nerve EPs, and just gushed over his tone. He said that the OC-2 is the base of it all.

Ah, yeah that is a cool sound. Also it's the Sledge Hammer sound... I want to try a OC-2 against what I have for the best synthy octave, my old MXR is great but I'm still looking.

I had an OC2 in the 80s. Used it on bass to fill in for the noodly guitarist. It was good for what it was.
The new MXR is better though. Cheap too.

SMMH
Fuzzrocious Grey Stache #001
Earthquaker Sound Shank
DE Ruiner (my first Devi! and I've got some DEVIous plans for it)

Out: Groove Regulator. I lack the funk. But I bring the noise.

Rotten foam. Old MXRs had the PCBs wrapped in foam which over time turned to that, my phase 45 was the same.

it's nasty stuff. Will have to be replaced otherwise it'll short out on the case. I guess they weren't expecting people to still be using them 35+ years later. EHX used the same type of nasty foam around the same time.
