I encourage this, as the owner of a stock (sans knobs) 1967 TNB 50 MKII.
The original power tranny loves high voltage, so I use a step-up transformer and run it around 216-220V, here in the USA.
It really does have its own thing going on...and I prefer its overdrive to any other British amp.
It just sounds raw, and vintage for lack of a better word.

The cat's been out of the bag for a while now...but you can still find them for less than the 50W reissues from the big names...and the money goes a lot farther, IMO.
