I'm liking it! I believe a lot of us around these parts have been looking for a bit crusher pedal. How much will these be running if they go into production? $130-ish is my guess. Also, where did you get the parts to build a module? It's a great idea, as I see no real reason for just Line 6 to sell modules.

Line 6 actually does have a DSP developers kit for the Tonecore, and sells blank modules so anyone with the wherewithal can buy 'em and program 'em. I believe we're the first 3rd party developer to offer one for sale.

I'm thinking around $70 for the module itself when the first batch go on sale next week (after that the price will go up, but less than $130). You also need to buy a ToneCore dock ($70 mono/$80 stereo - the bitcrusher works with both) or any Line 6 ToneCore pedal (in which case you can swap modules). We buy the blank modules from Line 6 for $34.99 each, then label and program them.

I had been looking into other bitcrushers, but so many of them are really limited in what they do. This one is totally perfect for me!

One question (and I didn't watch the vid all the way through, since I'm at work - I just perused through for highlights) - can it handle bass guitarz? I mean, I know bass frequencies will be cut depending on the amount of crushing, but that's fine. Can it track the signal all right, or does it go extra wonky?

Not that extra wonky is bad... it might be just the thing...

Haven't done extensive testing with bass, and I might be biased, but I think it works incredibly well with bass. In fact after I heard a friend play his bass through it, I decided I had to go buy a bass ASAP.

I'll post a proper vid with bass when I can get around to making one. I did make a quick one on said friend's crappy camera while he played his bugbass. Unfortunately there's extra aliasing from the camera's audio, but you can hear the low frequencies well enough.

Not sure if you meant "tracking" this way, but the switch on the lower right selects if the sampling frequency is modulated by a sort of loose pitch tracking, by envelope, or by inverted pitch tracking.

That vid showed enough for my purposes - I'm hooked!

As for tracking, I've just had experiences with pedals that get a little touchy with a bass signal, and get all flubby and weird in bad ways. But this would definitely do the trick...
