The New Updated RRR (Bigberator?)

Postby Lutman » Wed Nov 04, 2009 10:14 pm

When these are done I expect one to immediately be sent to my house in Melbourne, Australia. ;)
I would also like it in this style: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3552/363 ... a0275e.jpg

I hope you can come through on my request.
I'll even pay you for it!

I see my nickname for it is catching on.

I think this dude caught wind of it over on HCFX. Anyway, we have a new member. Ryan said he hasn't finished the miniberators, so once they're done he said he would get start to design the circuit. Read some of the RRR threads around here, you'll pick up lots of info.

Rats, I thought there was gonna be a picture of it in here too!

B-man's got it right, I'll get cracking on the Bigberator design as soon as we're making the minis. (And that's going to be soon, see the other thread where I do the updates). I expect to be making Bigberators very early in the new year and I also expect them to be very muchly worth the wait!

Whatcha guys think of the name for the Bigberator? We've been thinking of just calling them both Reverberator and people will just have to figure out which one is being talked about. Or Reverberator with a + or a ' or something. Bigberator and Miniberator are fun and cool though and that's what we call them around here and with our pals.

And Lutman... how do you know there already isn't a Bigberator inside your house... sneaking up behind you... *scary music*

I think it shoud be named the Blurillerator, as it's my signature pedal. :hello:

For the record I love bigberator and miniberator, though those names are sorta missing the reverb part

Totally! They rule as nicknames and I could see all of us calling them that from now on. I like them as trade names too but then I think like Jon said, they don't have the word reverb in them.. the names are basically meaningless to anybody who doesn't get the inside joke of it. Which may or may not be a bad thing for stores and customers who haven't heard of the pedals before.

I kinda like the idea of just keeping on calling them both Reverberators and everybody will have to know that one is small and one is big but that idea maybe isn't great either. I always wonder if Digitech will ever have a problem with us calling them Reverberators.. I honestly didn't know they had a pedal named that years ago!

i like the names as nicknames but i too think not having reverb or something like that in the name could be confusing

i think you could go one of 2 ways easy
1) keep the big one named "reverberator" and rename the little one something like " lil' reverberator" or " reverberator lite" or something - you get the idea ... reverberator mini .. pocket reverb... idk. pico reverb, atomverb, atom reverb (something small like that. you get the jist)
2) keep the little one named "reverberator" and rename the big one something like " reverberator xxl" or " deluxe reverberator" or something similar... reveberberator supreme, reveberator ultra, mega reverberator, space reverberator... reverberator galaxy, galaxy reverberator... i could go on all day but i dont think it would help!

or maybe call the small one revereberator and the big one radical reverberator?

just saying. thought i should get me 2 cents. i love the idea of helping however i can.
I'm back! - AGAIN!
