Announcement: Tidal Waveforms

Postby FuzzHugger » Sun Mar 29, 2015 2:35 am

For seven years, FuzzHugger has evolved as my effects obsessions have. By 2016, I'll build as much modulation as I will fuzz and I couldn't be more excited. I've never had much awareness of the market, competition, or outside world. But I've realized that I need to think about marketing (to a degree) so I can continue my journey with modulation. People look to FuzzHugger for fuzz, but my modulation effects aren't secondary or an afterthought--they represent some of the best effects I've ever built.

I'm so excited to announce Tidal Waveforms, my line of modulation effects!

I will personally build each pedal, as I do with FuzzHugger. I feel like FuzzHugger is young and I can't wait for you to see what's in the works! And now my modulation effects will have the spotlight they deserve.

I can't wait to continue developing and refining both FuzzHugger and Tidal Waveforms, and I'm so thankful to everyone who has been here with support, emails, demos, likes, and shares. I also want to thank my wife Inga for her unwavering support. And thank my amazing business partner and the better half of my brain. And thank my best friends, all of whom I know because of FuzzHugger (you know who you are!) and ILF. I'm forever grateful.

This is a very exciting new venture. Will it get a sub-sub-forum?

Will you be as indulgent of our weird whims and custom requests with these designs?

Thanks, guys!
:joy:  And there's so much to come!

oldangelmidnight wrote:This is a very exciting new venture. Will it get a sub-sub-forum?

I'm not sure! I don't want to bury it as a sub-forum of FuzzHugger...this might just become the FuzzHugger / Tidal Waveforms forum. That'd keep things active.
oldangelmidnight wrote:Will you be as indulgent of our weird whims and custom requests with these designs?

My instinct has always been to say of course! But I'm only one person, and it's gotten harder to expand and still welcome every crazy custom whim. I'm always happy to at least hear anyone out. (Tap-tempo isn't happening, though...it's not something you can just toss in, and I don't like it enough to go through the development).

As for more controls, I'm toying with a deluxe Atmosphase at least...
I'm happy to do some color changes, and I know that sooner or later someone will as for a cross-custom (AB-Synth + Occam's Phaser = Shit Phased? ), and sure, why not? :)

How different are the Atmosphase and Occams (circuit wise)?

Full descriptions soon, but one isn't a baby version of the other. Also, 2-stage vs. 4-stage.

That's exactly what I was asking, thanks! Is the 4 stage ota or...?
(Guess I could just wait for the descriptions  )
