Phillip Dodge interviewed me for Tone Report Weekly!

Interviews are weird...how do you talk about yourself without sounding self-absorbed? How do you make it interesting? Not sure about either of those. And all my answers are way long. :idk:
I tried to make it interesting, though. Names get dropped and suckas get called out. Mostly I ramble about things and stuff.

Next interview I do, I'm thinking about just lying my ass off.

Kinda like what Sonic Youth used to do in interviews?

Like you can say that you lived in an alley in London and apprenticed with Roger Mayer?

Haha! I just figure it'd be a lot more exciting than reality.

It's true that I sat around eating grapes with an international rock legend...but it's also true that 99.9% of the time, I'm not doing anything like that. And my "success" comes from working so much that I probably make less than minimum wage per hour. My workshop is periwinkle blue with matching floral wallpaper, so the only interesting or sexy thing about it is what comes out of it.

When interviewers start asking questions, the pressure's on to be interesting, and you realize that you're mostly a weird hermit.

I'm telling you, Tom, one of these summers, you need to rent out a couple of those 13,000 acres of state forest and hold the First Annual FuzzHugger FuzzJamboree.

I would be there in a heartbeat!

Also, totally solid interview. I'm looking forward to the 100% lies version, too, just to play compare & contrast...

Great read Mr Dalton. You sent some dude a free pedal and not even a thank you. Very bad form. What is it with some people's over inflated sense of entitlement. :picard:

If you sent me a free pedal, I'd say thank you Tom.

Or at the least a blank email with "thx" as the subject line.
