Great, now I have to sell more stuff... I have been waiting for a bass friendly Bloom. Does the 2nd footswitch cause any fundamental volume drop going from full on Bloom to mild overdrive or is it just decrease in distorted tone?

The Algal Bloom is really overdriven and doesn't really need further stacking. The less-driven mode pulls a lot of gain out of the Algal Bloom fuzz and bypasses the Bloom control.

On the dual footswitch AB, one footswitch turns on the lower-gain fuzz mode (Bloom bypass), and both footswitches turn on the Algal Bloom. Makes more switching sense this way.

Does the 2nd footswitch cause any fundamental volume drop going from full on Bloom to mild overdrive or is it just decrease in distorted tone?

No. There might be a slight perceived increase in volume when you go from less-driven-fuzz-mode to standard Algal Bloom (as higher gain / more body can seem like more volume), but it's just the right amount--so going to the less-driven fuzz is just a decrease in distorted tone.

Similar. I announced the toggle for low/mids, but am not quite ready to offer them at this point...so it could turn into a knob.
