planetoid ring modulator tour box

Postby autopilot » Tue Jul 03, 2012 10:27 am

If you want to be in,
-User with more than 100 post
-USA based
-Have a 9v dc power supply center negative (it wont take 9v batteries)
-spend 2/3 days with the pedal and then send it to next address

If there are more than 4 people from canada or Europe, i could make it there once the usa one is done

Good god finally! Yes I've been waiting for this one so hard! I think I said that about the Polypus as well, but I really really REALLY want to try a Planetoid!

Yeah I'm trying to kick my ring thing out and get a sweet ringmod. Hopefully this'll be the one and save me from the moog. Maybe combine a broadcast and it'll have that thing beat.

I really want to try a Ring Thing, it just seems like it might be too much for me to handle, and I really would like just a simple, clean ring mod to go with my dirtier CA Ring Mod. That said, I would totally combine this thing with a Broadcast, which almost seems like it would just be easier to get a Ring Thing but whatever.

Planetoid is a lot cleaner, has a gate that stops the carrier when you arent playing, has a filter for the carrier so you can shape and get more tones. Android has a wider the carrier section (can go into trem).

1-Bellyheart
2-Bigchiefbc
3-Wdinc

the pedal is on the way.

Play with the filter knob so you can get more clean or gritty or subtle tones out of it, stack some fuzzes. With some setups (guitar pickups) if the carrier wont stop roll a bit the vol on the guitar, if you want to defeat the gate put an OD in front so the noise of the OD wont let close the gate. Also if you dont want the gate to stop let the strings ring when you play different notes on different strings, or viceversa if you want to ride with the closing and opening of the gate, mute the strings

I almost wish I could A/B it with an Android, to be able to compare them. I had an Android back in the day, but I'd love to do a real comparison. Maybe I'll ask around and see if someone will temp loan me one.
